CONSTITUTION

PREAMBLE
Oakridge Archers (the Club) exists to foster and promote Field Archery as a sport in which archers enjoy themselves by shooting at inanimate objects of suitable sizes, placed at distances unknown to the archers, set in natural undulating terrain populated by trees and shrubbery with few or no clear-laned targets
The Club believes that field archery being originally devised to simulate hunting and to provide as much pleasure as possible in the practise of the sport, all courses should be constructed with this in mind.
The Club believes that in the true spirit of field Archery, the archer is competing against himself, the field, the peculiarities of the terrain, the organisers design and layout of the round with the natural objects and obstacles that have been included.
3.1 The Committee reserves the right to suspend, withdraw or refuse membership to any person or persons who act in a manner to the detriment or well being of the Club. The reasons for any such action will only be disclosed to the person or persons involved, and those persons/ Persons may appeal to the Committee and attend in person at a private meeting with the Commute who's final decision will be binding.
The time and venue of the A.G.M. shall be circulated by the Hon. Secretary not less than four weeks prior to the date of the meeting. Resolutions and Nominations, proposed and seconded, shall be forwarded to reach the Hon. Secretary not later than three weeks prior to the meeting. The Agenda shall be circulated to all members not later than two weeks prior to the meeting, and the Accounts will be presented at the meeting.
5.1 An Extraordinary General Meeting may be called by the Committee. or any three members signing a request and giving the reason in writing to the Chairman or Hon Secretary, with notice and the purpose being given to the membership by the Hon Secretary two weeks prior to the meeting. Voting, etc, will be in accordance with the AGM rules, noted above.
6, The Committee of the Club shall be Chairman, Hon Secretary, Treasurer, Field/Safety Officer, and up to three General Officers. They shall be elected by ballot at the Annual General Meeting, to serve for a period of 3 years when they shall stand down but be eligible for re-election. Elections will not be held simultaneously but over a cycle of 3 years, with 2 or 3 officers being elected each year. In exceptional circumstances this will be waived at the discretion of the Committee.
The safety Rules of the Club and N.F.A.S. must be carefully observed at all times and in all places.
lot This Constitution can only be revised or amended at a General Meeting of the Club, or an EGM.
11. The Preamble to this constitution may only be amended by a majority of seventy-five percent of the membership.
OAKRIDGE ARCHERS Bye-Laws as at 1st March 2006
1.Annual membership is renewable each year on 1st march
1.1 The current fee is£25 per adult. Reductions for partners, other members of the same family, juniors and others may be decided by the committee as the need arises.
2 The current grounds are rented from the Shrigley Hall Hotel and all of their rules shall be upheld by all members of the Club.
2.1 Show courtesy and etiquette at all times to golfers playing on the golf course.
2.2 No dogs are allowed on the grounds at any time.
3 Any non-shooting visitors must be Associate members of NFAS, unless dispensation is given for one-off visits sanctioned by the Committee.
4 Any NFAS Independent Member may be asked to provide evidence of competency at archery before being given permission to shoot on the clubs ground.
5 The Club operates a Children and Vulnerable Adults Protection policy.
